Our kids love to listen to Hank Smith, and sometimes they tolerate John Bytheway.  The "When Life Gets Hard" conference came to Vernal so we decided Greg and the girls needed to go.  They got up early Saturday morning, and headed off into the dark. They enjoyed themselves.  They didn't win the cruise they were giving away unfortunately, and Greg &  I laughed about the ad on the back of the program.  It said "When Life Gets Hard come cruise with usz".  It was advertising a cruise to Alaska with the 3 speakers.  Wouldn't it be nice to just go on a cruise when life got hard?  Seriously, the dumbest ad!  Nine times out of ten when life is hard, you just have to grind your cleats into the ground, take a stance, bare down, and face it head on.  No running away from problems and hopping on to a cruise, especially when part of the "hard' is lack of resources or time.  All in all a merry time was had by all.
