Back in the good ole days my best buddy Sharla and I would get decked to the hilt, and head out to the mall in Lubbock. I imagine we looked a lot like Kira does in this picture. A LOT of blue eye shadow, and Aqua Net. Kira and her cousin Sadie LOVE to do each others hair and make-up. Sharla and I were the same way. I wish I had a picture of the hair cut she gave me in 8th grade. It was an asymmetrical cut. It was chin length on one side, and shoulder length on the other. Sharla, who is and was a brilliant girl, was not an experienced cosmetologist. Instead of gradually angling the hair it was a blunt short, and dropped immediately to long. MMMMhhmmm--it is important I remember this as I raise my girls. The crazy thing is I NEVER not even once remember my mom getting angry at us or our beauty make overs. Crazy! That woman must have wings!

OOOOHHHH the memories. I had the makeup done to me, but I never let anyone get close to my hair with scissors. What a fun picture!
