Kira was not happy when they announced fast Sunday would be on April 10th. She thought that would take all of the fun out of her birthday. It just turns out she gets to celebrate for 5 days, instead of one. She choose to have a family fun birthday, instead of a party. She outlined very specifically what she wanted. Her list included: Hills and Valleys and Dutch Honey for Breakfast; Calzones for dinner; Ice Cream Roll for her birthday cake;
Artic Circle or Broadway Burgers (while there it was important to her to have a shake too); Bowling for the family activity; a drone, and a plasma ball or lava lamp; and to take cupcakes to school. I think she enjoyed her special day, and loved the smoked meat her dad made her as a birthday dinner. She even got to play a game with Grandpa and Grandma. This girl loves games, and firmly believes it should be part of our everyday routine.
I can't believe that she is 10. How on earth did she grow so fast. She is looking older to me. She is a pretty girl, and very determined. She doesn't give herself enough slack and expects perfection from her little 10 year old self. She is a good big sister. Oftentimes she and Seth will come home from school, and Kira has already helped him complete his homework so he can play when he gets home. She is a good nurturer.
The boys are lucky to have her as a big sis.
She loves deeply. She is diligent at everything she does. She's really impressive to me. She loves order, and exactness. We are so grateful Kira is a part of our family. She brings us great joy. We love you sister!
